Tennessee History

Class Description: Learning about history can be fun! In this class, we're going to have an overview of Tennessee History. We will learn all about this wonderful state we call home.

Art

Teacher: Master Artisan & Muralist - Jill Stone

Materials Fee: $25.00

Tuition: $25.00 per month ($100 for full semester)

Class Description: Mural Painting, Secrets and Techniques

Education Standards: 1. Color Theory 2. Principles of Design and Layout, 3. Medium, Materials and Tools 4. Surface Prep and Substrate 5. Step by Step Painting Instruction 6. Application and Problem Solving 7. Artist Collaboration

Learn to paint high quality Fine Art on various surfaces. Jill Stone has 20 years of vital knowledge and experience in Mural Painting in the luxury housing and commercial industry. You will receive hands on Application, Artist Collaboration and Experience

Computer Class I & II

Teacher: Matthew Engman

Materials Fee: $10.00

Tuition: monthly offering of your choice

Class Description: Combination Keyboarding and Office Suite Instruction. Computer II is for returning students and will build off the foundation of Computer I.

Crochet

Teacher: Lauren Witte

Materials Fee: $20.00

Tuition: monthly offering of your choice

Class Description: Students will learn about different yarn types, and needle sizes, as well as how to use the basic crochet stitches to complete projects. They will also learn how to read and understand common crochet abbreviations, and how to use a pattern.

Drama

Teacher: Anna Claire Isenhower

Class Description: This theater class aims to teach the basics of acting and stage presence, as well as teach kids how to be a respectful actor/actress. The main goal is to build confidence, and of course, have fun while we do it! We want to build a strong foundation for your actor/actress so they can tackle the world of theater and life with confidence and a smile!  There will be acting exercises and theater games to help teach them the foundation of acting and help them grow in their abilities. We will work on stage presence and manners, voice projection and communication, characterization, and more!

Hebrew International Dance

Teacher: Anna Claire Isenhower

Class Description: An introductory class for Israeli Folk dance for ages 10+. Children will learn to worship and praise God with beginning dance steps with dances both in English and Hebrew.

Guitar/ Voice / Piano / Drums

Class Descriptions: These four classes are group classes that will introduce your child to a new instrument / vocal instruction in a group setting. The purpose of these classes is to teach children how to use music to glorify God.

Spanish 1 (6-9)

Teacher: Chrissy Guardado

Class Description: We will have fun learning greetings, useful phrases, everyday words, and important words of the Bible and our faith. We will also explore some of the culture and customs of Spanish speaking countries.

Spanish I & II (10+)

Teacher: Paul Dyar

Class Description: Students develop cultural awareness and communication skills involving reading, writing, listening, and speaking. The emphasis is on comprehension and production of frequently used language. Students will meet the expectations of the communicative functions within the context of familiar vocabulary and structures. Phonological and grammatical errors are to be expected and are addressed in a way that promotes communication and student confidence. Students practice extensively in oral and written communication using the learned vocabulary and grammar. Classroom activities are related to the real world and include developing an awareness of acceptable behavior in the foreign culture.

Spanish II is for returning students and is a continuation of Spanish I.

Study Hall  (Ages 6 - 9)

Teacher: Stephanie Shrove

Materials Fee: $10

Tuition: monthly offering of your choice

Class Description: Study Hall for (Ages 6-9) will have a craft option where students may work on a fun craft for the day.

Woodworking

Teacher: Kenneth Schaeffner

Materials Fee: $50 *Additional fees may occur if the student needs the teacher to purchase necessary tools.

Tuition: monthly offering of your choice.

Class Description: Through woodworking share God's love and values while building confidence and skills that involve imagination, teamwork, and following directions. We will work on small projects while learning proper tool usage and safety.
